Their recordings that gained national attention were mostly instrumentals including UNDER THE DOUBLE EAGLE/ROADSIDE RAG/ LONESTAR RAG. The group included some of the better musicians in the North Texas area at that time. It would probably be safe to say they were the best of the crop.
