Johnny Hicks was a popular radio personality on KRLD Radio in Dallas during the late forties and throughout the fiftes . He also emceed the renowned Big D Jamboree, a Saturday night shin-dig broadcast over the same station and was quiet popular throughout North Texas at that time. Hicks also dabbled in the business end of music heading up a publishing company called Big D Music. As a recording artist it would probably be safe to say that these are probably the only ones that he ever made.
