Before TILMAN FRANKS became JOHNNY HORTON’S manager he was struggling to make ends meet playing various venues in and around Tyler, Texas along with appearances on the Louisiana, Hayride. Included in this collection are some of those tracks issued on Cormac and some on Mercury prior to his break through recording Honky Tonk Man # 9 in l956. Horton died in an automobile accident outside Cameron, Texas, November 5, l960. Listing:.
