2007 re-issue. The album title is fitting for WADE RAY, born April 1913 and died l998, whose show-biz career began a s a very young entertainer(age 10) on the Orpheum Vaudeville Circuit. He later worked with Pappy Cheshires’ Champion Hillbillies in St. Louis, Mo until his enlistment in the military in l943. In the 50’s he began to carve a niche for himself in country music by way of his recordings for RCA-Victor all of which are included herein. However a lasting career was not to be for the fiddler/vocalist since the recordings were only mildly successful. In the 60’s RAY moved to Nashville, but little was forthcoming there, he did however appear on some of the syndicated shows, that were popular at the time, e.g. THE ERNEST TUBB SHOW. In later years before his death, he worked as a security guard at various locations in Nashville.
