MITCHELL TOROK from Houston, Texas first recorded in l948. His first success came in l953 when JIM REEVES hit the number one spot with his compostion MEXICAN JOE. That same year TOROK hit the number one spot himself with his own composition CARIBBEAN . In l954 another self composed single HOOCHY KOOCY HENRY FROM HAWAII peaked at number nine. He was represented on the charts for the last time when he recorded INSTANT LOVE for Reprise records which stalled at # 93.
