T. TEXAS TYLER known as THE MAN WITH A MILLIN FRIENDS and whose real name was David Luke Myrick first hit the country charts in l946 with FILIPINO BABY at # 5. Most country purists will no doubt remember his composition DECK OF CARDS. His recording was # 2 in l948. Other notables were DAD GAVE MY DOG AWAY # 10 in l948 & BUMMING AROUND# 5 in l953. TYLER later retired from recording and in later years became a minister. He died January 29, l972.
