$18.85LEON McAULIFFE/TAKE IT AWAY LEON. Western swing purists will remember McAULIFFE as one of the innovators of the steel guitar and as one of BOB WILLS' original TEXAS PLAYBOYS. In l936, McAULIFFE recorded STEEL GUITAR RAG with WILLS an instrumental whose melody is almost identical to "Guitar Rag" composed by black guitarist, Sylvester Weaver in 1925. Even so, it was popularized by McAULIFFE and is included herein from his l946-48 recordings for Majestic records.
