In the thirties, forties & fifties THE SONS OF THE PIONEERS were the quintessential cowboy singing group and BOB NOLAN was the lead vocalist who also composed most of thier classics. While the group doesn't accompany NOLAN on this release the sound has been recaptured thanks mostly to NOLAN himself and producer ''SNUFF" GARRET.. Tracks include TUMBLING TUMBLE WEEDS, HE WALKS WITH THE WILD AND THE LONELY, THAT OLD OUTLAW TIME, COOL WATER, CAN YOU HEAR THOSE PIONEERS, MAN WALKS AMONG OF US, TEXAS PLAINS, THE TOUCH OF GOD'S HAND, OLD HOME TOWN, RIDE ME DOWN EASY & WANDERING. Although NOLAN was of an advanced age when this recording was made, this one shows off his abilities as an outstanding vocalist as opposed to all of his earlier efforts.
