These rare transcriptions were captured directly from the great border radio station XEG in Monterey Old Mexico in the 1930's however they were aired as late as the early 40's! While XEG's studios were located across the Rio Grande their mailing address was San Antonio, Texas. At that time RHINEHART treated his audiences to some of the favorites of the day as well as some of the all time cowboy classics. Between songs he performed with just his guitar, he offered a COWBOY SLIM RHINEHART songbook which included pictures of himself outfitted in his cowboy regalia taken in the XEG studios. Not only did he sell thousands of song books, he also sold millions of dollars of other products including COLORBAK & PERUNA. This is a great keep sake album for those who remember those days and are familiar with the time when radio was magic. The sound quality is above par for re-issues of this type.
